About our Safety

Sailing Miss Golightly operates a safety-first vessel. That means:

Before we leave the wharf, we’ll share safety tips to ensure your day is relaxing, memorable and safe.
Please be aware that like all boats, ‘Miss Golightly’ is always moving - even when at anchor. Use secure handholds when moving about and never the lines (rope) as these are not always secure.
Children are welcome onboard. We take pride in having the highest standard of safety equipment on board ‘Miss Golightly’, including lifelines to keep your family safe.
As a matter of policy, we will always recommend that guests – especially children under 12, wear lifejackets when on deck and our skipper may require they be worn should conditions deteriorate at any time throughout the cruise.
We also ask that all children are always monitored by a responsible adult passenger while our skipper and crew ensure a safe and enjoyable day out for all guests aboard.
Our Skippers are experienced and highly trained, qualified professionals while our Crew undertake regular training and most have completed (as a minimum) “Certificate 1 in Maritime Operations (General Purpose Hand Near Coastal)” training.
All of our crew undertake regular training drills and hold qualifications which include First Aid, CPR, Working with Children checks, Food Safety, Hand Hygiene and R.S.A. (Responsible Service of Alcohol).
Our vessel provides charter services under an Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) certificate of operation and survey. We carry all of the required safety equipment in order to provide a safe environment to enjoy your charter.
For the safety of all guests and our crew, we operate a strict no drug and smoke free policy aboard Miss Gollightly at all times.
Smoke, LP Gas and Carbon Monoxide alarms are fitted throughout the vessel for the safety of guests and crew.

About our Team

The Sailing Miss Golightly team are passionate sailors who love to share their knowledge of sailing Sydney Harbour with others. You will find they are friendly, welcoming, mature and very hospitable. They regularly attend training to advance their maritime skills.

About our Vessel

‘Miss Golightly’ is a luxuriously appointed, 40-foot French designed and built sailing catamaran. The two hulls ensure a smoother, more stable ride through the busy waters of Sydney Harbour while the expansive 23-foot beam (width) provides unparalleled space for a vessel of her size.

Our vessel can accommodate parties of up to 20 guests or cater for just 2 guests on an intimate Sydney Harbour cruise.

Facilities include:

Spacious covered aft (rear) deck seating area with removable covers so you can enjoy the scenery while protected from inclement weather
Sun lounges and removable shade-cover on the open forward deck
Easy access swim platform, ladder and fresh water warm deck shower
2 stand up paddleboards and a 5 meter foam lily pad
2 luxury cabins with queen-sized beds and shared ensuite for overnight and short-stay Sydney Harbour escapes
Spacious but cosy, indoor salon
TV with internet and laptop connectivity
